2004年8月至2006年7月在美国范德堡大学(Vanderbilt University)Carl H. Johnson教授实验室做博士后(Research Associate),从事植物生物钟与胁迫应答反应研究及基于BRET技术的蛋白探针开发。
2006年8月至2015年8月在美国达特茅斯学院(Dartmouth College)C. Robertson McClung教授实验室做博士后(Research Associate),从事白菜及拟南芥生物钟调控网络解析。
2015年11月至2018,谢启光博士作为河北师范大学“精英人才计划”海外引进教授、教授、博士生导师,加入生命科学学院、教育部分子细胞学重点实验室、河北省分子细胞生物学重点实验室,从事科研、教学、博/硕士研究生指导工作。
2018年至今,作为河南大学“攀登计划”人才、课题组长,任职于生命科学学院,省部共建作物逆境适应与改良国家重点实验室。从事科研、教学、博/硕士研究生指导工作,研究方向为:作物生物钟与关键农艺性状调控。
